Whole-vine resources modify within-vine relationships between growth parameters and metabolites in Vitis vinifera L. cv. Cabernet-Sauvignon

چکیده
Fruit ripening on a perennial tree or vine is typically asynchronous and rarely investigated. In commerce, this problematic as it impairs sampling to meet commercial maturity quality standards at harvest. For grapevines, understanding within-grapevine variability in berry will benefit precision management harvest planning. It accepted that variation approximately equally allocated the within- between-vine scale. However, mechanistic ecological factors cause functional variance are poorly understood documented. This study aimed identify structural spatial within-vine attributes associated with composition related available resources from whole grapevine. Vegetative reproductive biomass between-vines were analysed for cv. Cabernet-Sauvignon trained cordon, spur-pruned system using Smart-Dyson trellis ‘New World’ industrial-scale vineyard. The vines located northern Margaret River, Western Australia. Variability soluble solids, anthocyanins phenolics clusters corresponding canopy characteristics.Berry size was best predictor of among sugar, within individual vines. Smaller stems fruit had greater than larger fruit. relationship between plant interacted different scales; first report grapevines. Including vine-biomass scales helped explain heteroscedasticity observed when effect excluded analysis. These findings suggest high vigour grapevines could differential management, regardless index. Furthermore, these may help diversity response treatment effects such cluster leaf thinning reported previously

Influence of vine vigor on grape (Vitis vinifera L. Cv. Pinot Noir) and wine proanthocyanidins.
The relationships between variations in grapevine (Vitis vinifera L. cv. Pinot noir) growth and resulting fruit and wine phenolic composition were investigated. The study was conducted in a commercial vineyard consisting of the same clone, rootstock, age, and vineyard management practices. The experimental design involved monitoring soil, vine growth, yield components, and fruit composition (so...
متن کاملProteomic analysis reveals differences between Vitis vinifera L. cv. Chardonnay and cv. Cabernet Sauvignon and their responses to water deficit and salinity.
The impact of water deficit and salt stress on two important wine grape cultivars, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, was investigated. Plants were exposed to increasing salinity and water deficit stress over a 16 d time period. Measurements of stem water potentials, and shoot and leaf lengths indicated that Chardonnay was more tolerant to these stresses than Cabernet Sauvignon. Shoot tips were...
متن کاملManagement practices impact vine carbohydrate status to a greater extent than vine productivity
Light pruning and deficit irrigation regimes are practices which are widely used in high yielding commercial vineyards in the warm climate regions of Australia. Little information is available on their impacts on carbohydrate dynamics in vegetative organs within and between seasons, and on the resulting plant capacity to maintain productivity and ripen fruits. This study was conducted to addres...

متن کاملVine Training Systems:
The growth form of a vine profoundly influences its overall performance as well as many aspects of a grower's vine management. Therefore, I place the choice of a vine training system fourth in importance when establishing a new vineyard after: (1) whether or not to plant a vineyard, (2) the site for the vineyard, and (3) the variety/rootstock combination to be planted. The increasing recognitio...
